Shootin' the Breeze

and random targets

Our house is near a stream of water that is an important part of the habitat for wildlife with which we share our piece of Colorado.

At night we often hear coyotes serenade.  We also keep our dogs in the house at night.

In the early morning, I let the dogs out and, usually, they just circle the house, fulfill the purpose of why they were let out, and return.  Sometimes, while waiting for the dogs, I catch a glimpse of a coyote on the other side of the water, heading to its den after a night of hunting.  Today was one of those days.

Karen, aka Miss Sugar, has a pretty good camera.  She has taken some pretty good photos without even leaving our house, just shooting through a window.  I am including some of her pictures of a coyote that she captured in that manner on a snowy day this winter.
