I just read the entire document. While watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade on TV this morning, my husband was lamenting that it was mostly about cartoon characters, and a venue to promote entertainers. No mention of God’s providence, love, nor grace. The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade seemed to mostly be one, long commercial. We’ve sure come a long way, Abe!
Well, President Lincoln did not have to compete with the Macy Parade.
